DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARREST TWO PEOPLE WITH LARGE AMOUNT OF ILLEGAL NARCOTICS

Seaford, DE - On June 4, 2025, officers from the Seaford Police Department arrested two individuals, Devon Cannon and Miya Newcomb, for possessing a substantial quantity of narcotics.


The incident began when Officers from the Seaford Police Department observed Devon Cannon, who they knew was wanted on multiple capiases, in the Nutter Lane area.


While officers were dealing with Cannon, Miya Newcomb attempted to retrieve items from Cannons possession, inadvertently causing bundles believed to be heroin to fall to the ground.


Newcomb was then detained and further investigation led to both individuals being in possession of a significant quantity of drugs. Officers discovered a total of 2,236 bags of heroin and 3.7 grams of crack cocaine.


Following the arrest, both individuals were transported to the Seaford Police Department, where warrants were issued for their charges. Cannon faces several charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances, resisting arrest, and conspiracy. He has been arraigned with a cash bond set at $133,600.


Meanwhile, Newcomb faces charges that include tampering with evidence and possession with intent to distribute, with her cash bond set at $45,400.
