Delaware State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Millsboro

Millsboro, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a single vehicle. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in Millsboro.

On February 11, 2026, at approximately 11:50 p.m., an Audi A4 was traveling south on Legion Road. The vehicle approached a sharp left curve near a private driveway in the area of Buttercream Hills.

The car failed to navigate the curve for reasons that are currently under investigation. It exited the west side of the roadway and struck a concrete culvert pipe. The vehicle then went airborne, overturned, and struck a row of trees.

The driver was a 60-year-old man from Millsboro, Delaware. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is currently being withheld pending notification of his family.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit. Troopers ask that anyone who witnessed the crash contact Sergeant A. Mitchell at (302) 703-3269.
