DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Magnolia, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of a 46-year-old man in Magnolia on the evening of June 16, 2025.


The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. when a Kawasaki sportbike, traveling northbound on Walnut Shade Road, approached the intersection with Douglas Fir Road, which is not a four-way stop.


At that same moment, a 30-year-old man from Felton was driving a Toyota Camry and pulled out from the stop sign on Douglas Fir Road to turn southbound onto Walnut Shade Road. The motorcycle collided with the front of the Toyota.


The motorcyclist, a Felton resident, was ejected from his bike due to the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family. The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the crash.


Walnut Shade Road was closed for approximately four hours to allow the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit to conduct their investigation and clear the scene.
