DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE HOME INVASION IN LAUREL

Laurel, DE - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shocking home invasion that took place early yesterday morning in Laurel, Delaware. The incident occurred around 12:32 a.m. on April 6, 2024, at a residence in the 6900 block of Sharptown Road.

Upon receiving a report of the home invasion, troopers immediately responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation has shed some light on the terrifying ordeal that the victims - two teenagers who were in the house at the time - had to go through.

Approximately five male suspects, all masked and armed, reportedly broke into the property. The invaders appeared to have ransacked the home, leaving it in a state of disarray before fleeing the scene. The suspects managed to abscond with an undisclosed amount of property.

Miraculously, despite the dangerous circumstances and the brutal nature of the robbery, no one in the home was injured during this deplorable act.

The suspects are still at large. They have been described as approximately five masked and armed black males. Efforts are underway to obtain surveillance images and video, which are currently unavailable.

The Delaware State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help them with their ongoing investigation.
