Delaware State Police Investigate Shooting Incident on Dupont Boulevard

Millsboro, DE - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that took place on Dupont Boulevard near Millsboro, Delaware last night.

Troopers responded to reports of gunfire on February 9, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m. According to the preliminary investigation, two individuals were traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard near Avenue of Honor in a Ford Edge.

Investigators state that a silver or white passenger car began tailgating the Ford and driving aggressively. During this encounter, an unknown suspect fired multiple shots, striking the Ford. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, led by the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit.
