DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING NEAR SLAUGHTER BEACH FIRE COMPANY

Milford, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on the evening of June 12, 2025, near the Slaughter Beach Memorial Volunteer Fire Company in Milford, Delaware.
At approximately 7:14 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the public access area adjacent to 359 Bay Avenue. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 32-year-old man from Dover was attending a party at the pavilion behind the fire company when three masked suspects arrived and began firing multiple rounds at the attendees.
The victim attempted to flee the scene but was struck in the lower extremity. The suspects fled the area before the troopers arrived. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and later released.
The suspects were described as wearing all-black clothing and ski masks. It is currently unclear how they arrived at or left the scene. Surveillance footage is unavailable at this time.
This case remains under active investigation by the Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit. Detectives are encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact Detective H. Lingo at 302-752-3864.
