Delaware State Police Investigating Assault from a Crowbar in Ocean View
Sussex County, DE - The Delaware State Police have launched an investigation into an assault incident that occurred early Saturday morning in Ocean View, Delaware.
Troopers responded to a residence on the 37000 block of Mahogany Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on February 14, 2026, following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered a 64-year-old male victim who had sustained injuries from a crowbar. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary findings indicate that the incident began when two white male suspects were observed yelling and knocking on the victim's door.
When the resident opened the door, he did not recognize the individuals and attempted to close it. One suspect then reportedly grabbed the victim, threw him to the ground, and struck him with a crowbar.
Following the altercation, both suspects fled the scene in an unidentified red vehicle.
