DELAWARE STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN SUMMER SHOOTING AT PARADISE GRILL

Millsboro, DE - A 19-year-old Dover resident, Ja'shawn Moore, has been arrested by the Delaware State Police in connection with a shooting incident in Millsboro, Delaware. The authorities are still looking for more individuals involved in the case and urging the public to provide any helpful information.

On the evening of June 2, 2023, police responded to a distress call at Paradise Grill on Bay Road. The situation involved a group of black men reportedly in conflict with a white man at the bar.

After being escorted out by the bouncers, the group returned to the establishment to continue the altercation. The white man, accompanied by two women, left the premises in a car, which was then chased and fired upon by the group of black men.

No injuries were reported on-site, and the involved parties left the area shortly afterward.

Evidence of the shooting was collected by responding officers who identified bullet casings scattered around the bar's vicinity. The investigation later revealed that the car, in which the white man and two women were fleeing, was hit by bullets.

Following an extensive investigation, Ja'shawn Moore was identified as one of the suspects, and arrested on March 19, 2024.

Ja'shawn Moore has been charged with multiple felonies. He was presented before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution with a cash bond of $87,000.
