Laurel, DE - A routine traffic stop on July 10, 2025, led to the arrest of a Delmar man after police discovered he was in possession of a concealed weapon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:51 p.m. near Sussex Highway and Camp Road in Laurel, Delaware.

While conducting traffic enforcement in the area, a Laurel Police officer stopped a silver Ford Crown Victoria after a registration check revealed that the vehicle's registered owner had a suspended driver's license. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on his own recognizance. He was also released on unsecured bond for a Capias issued by the Laurel Alderman's Court #35 and posted a $300 cash bond for two separate Capias warrants from Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
