Denton Man Arrested for DUI in Easton

Easton, MD - On November 15, 2025, Mr. Jody Ward, Jr., 23, of Denton, MD, was arrested by the Easton Police Department for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

At approximately 9:46 p.m., an Easton Police Officer observed a red Nissan Xterra with Maryland registration being driven erratically on North Washington Street near the Washington Street Pub. The vehicle continued to operate in an erratic manner in the area of Dick's Sporting Goods on Marlboro Avenue.

According to the report, the vehicle entered the parking lot, made a quick U-turn, and exited onto Commerce Drive at a high speed without stopping, causing the tires to squeal. The vehicle then pulled into a Chick-fil-A parking spot, jumped the curb, and came to a stop in the parking lot of Michaels on Marlboro Avenue.

The officer observed signs of impairment and conducted sobriety tests, which Mr. Ward subsequently failed. He was then placed under arrest.

Mr. Ward was transported to the Maryland State Police barracks, where he consented to a breathalyzer test. Upon completion of the test, he was released with citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se.
