Denton Woman Charged in Forgery Case
Easton, MD - On January 29, 2026, the Easton Police Department served a criminal summons to Crystal Wilson, a 44-year-old resident of Denton, Maryland. The summons was served at the Easton Police Department headquarters. The charges stem from two separate incidents involving allegations of forgery and theft.
Authorities allege that the incidents took place between August 8, 2025, and August 27, 2025. Wilson is accused of forging the signature of an individual under her care. She allegedly cashed checks using the forged name during this period.
The criminal summons charges Wilson with multiple offenses. These include two counts of forging private documents, two counts of possessing forged private documents, and two counts of issuing false documents.
Additionally, she faces two counts of obtaining goods or money by forgery, one count of fraud identity theft, two counts of theft between $100 and $1,500, and one count of a theft scheme between $1,500 and $25,000. Wilson was released after signing the summons.
