Deputies Investigate Attempted Burglary in Marydel

Marydel, MD - Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred in the 18000 block of Lepore Road in Marydel, Maryland.

The incident was reported on October 10, 2025, at approximately 8:23 p.m. Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a report from the property owner.

The victim provided security video footage to investigators. The footage showed two unidentified male subjects on the property. The video captured the suspects running from a garage while carrying what appeared to be a catalytic converter and other scrap metal items.

During the investigation, deputies discovered additional evidence of the attempted break-in. Two windows on the garage sustained damage from the attempted entry. Four black off-road rims and tires were reported missing from the property.

Investigators have identified one potential suspect in connection with the case. The investigation remains active.
