Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury will host its annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. The celebration is scheduled to run from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in Downtown Salisbury. The family-friendly event is expected to be the largest New Year's Eve gathering on the Eastern Shore.

This year's event will feature live music from A.M.P. Studio, daybloom, and The Boh Daddies. In addition to the musical performances, attendees can enjoy several interactive attractions, including a mechanical bull, a mobile rage room, a selfie station, and crowd trivia.

A "Shining Star Contest" will also take place, inviting guests to wear their brightest or most reflective outfits. The audience will vote for a winner, who will then be invited on stage for the midnight ball drop.

The event is approved for T.A.P.S. (To-go Alcohol in Public Spaces) to support local businesses. Participating establishments include The Brick Room, Mogan's Oyster House, Bury Tavern, and Roadie Joe's Bar & Grill. Guests are encouraged to visit these locations for specials and activities.

To accommodate the event, several road closures will be in effect starting at 12 p.m. on December 31. The closures include Main St. from St. Peters Street to Court St., and Division St. from Rt. 50 to Camden St. Attendees are advised to use the Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage on Circle Avenue.

"We are excited to welcome everyone back Downtown to ring in the New Year together," said event coordinator Chris Ford. "The Ball Drop is not just a celebration-it's a chance for our community to gather, celebrate local talent, support our businesses, and start the year with joy and unity."

Salisbury Mayor Randy Taylor also shared his enthusiasm for the event. "I am looking forward to seeing a big crowd at this year's New Year's Ball Drop Celebration. We have an incredible band lineup featuring a wide range of genres. Come out for a great time!"
