Driver Arrested for DUI in Sudlersville, Maryland

Queen Anne's County, MD - On August 10, 2025, at approximately 7:56 AM, Deputy First Class (DFC) Trader was on routine patrol on Main Street in Sudlersville, Maryland when he noticed a driver passed out at the steering wheel of a running vehicle parked at the gas pumps of Phillip's Garage.
DFC Trader approached the vehicle to conduct a welfare check. After knocking on the window several times, the driver, later identified as Morales Deivy, woke up and opened the door.
Upon initiating contact, DFC Trader observed indicators of impairment and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Deivy admitted to having consumed alcohol the previous night.
Deivy agreed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), which he did not perform adequately. He was subsequently placed under arrest and later submitted to a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test, which returned a result of 0.27.
Charges Filed Against Morales Deivy:
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
- Driving Under the Influence Per Se (BAC of 0.08 or higher)
- Driving While Impaired (DWI)
- Driving or attempting to drive a vehicle while so far impaired by drugs and alcohol that it cannot be done safely
- Driving on a highway without a required license and authorization
- Negligent Driving
- Reckless Driving
