Driver Charged Following Traffic Stop Near Chestertown
Kent County, MD - A 21-year-old Pennsylvania man was charged with multiple alcohol-related driving offenses following a traffic stop on Route 291 near Chestertown, Maryland.
According to the report, Sgt. S. Lockerman conducted the stop after observing a traffic violation. During contact with the driver, Sgt. Lockerman observed signs of impairment. The driver was identified as Luke Nicholas Fiorilla, 21, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
Fiorilla reportedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. He later submitted to a chemical breath test, which produced a result above .08 blood alcohol concentration.
He was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while under the influence of alcohol per se, and additional traffic offenses. Fiorilla was released after citations were issued.
