Drug Raid in Georgetown, Delaware Results in Multiple Arrests for Narcotics-Related Offenses

Georgetown, DE - A search warrant executed on July 29, 2025, has led to the arrest of three individuals on felony drug charges, according to the Delaware State Police. The operation involved members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and the Georgetown Police Department.
The search warrant was executed at a property located in the 20000 block of Savannah Road in Georgetown, following an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics by Gary Jefferson, 52, of Georgetown, and Paul Sample, 54, also of Georgetown.
During the operation, 18 individuals were detained, including Jefferson, Sample, and Jamie Reed, 26, of Milford, Delaware.
Law enforcement personnel conducted searches of the property, vehicles, and detainees, resulting in the discovery of the following items:
- $723.00 in suspected drug proceeds
- Approximately 0.19 grams of crack cocaine
- 26 pills of medroxyprogesterone
- 6 pills of valacyclovir
- 69 pills of bupropion
- 12 pills of gabapentin
- 22 pills of tadalafil
- 17 pills of olanzapine
- 30 pills of spironolactone
- A digital scale
- Drug paraphernalia
Of the 18 people detained, five were arrested for misdemeanor offenses and capias warrants. The remaining individuals were released without further incident.
Jefferson, Reed, and Sample were taken to Troop 4 and formally charged.

- Sample was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
