Dumpster Fire Investigated in Princess Anne

Princess Anne, MD - A dumpster fire is currently under investigation following an incident in Somerset County, Maryland on the afternoon of January 17, 2026.

The Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company responded to the call at approximately 5:32 PM in the 30000 block of Pine Knoll Drive in Princess Anne, Maryland.

The fire originated in a commercial dumpster and was discovered by a neighbor.

Upon arrival, ten firefighters worked to contain the blaze, bringing it under control within 10 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $500.00 to the structure of the dumpster itself. The preliminary cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
