EASTERN SHORE CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY ANNOUNCES JAIL AND CORRECTIONAL GRADUATES

Salisbury, MD - Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury recently held a graduation ceremony for the 121st entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA). A total of thirty jail and correctional officers from various counties, including Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Caroline, and Talbot, successfully completed the rigorous training program.


The event took place in Guerrieri Hall and featured a commencement address by John Milligan, the assistant warden of the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI). The ceremony was presided over by Donald Rollyson Jr., associate director of the ESCJA, alongside Rob Dell'Erba, the ESCJA coordinator.


Sharell Fountain, representing the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center, served as the class speaker and inspired her fellow graduates with her words.


WICOMICO GRADUATES: Officers from the Wicomico County Department of Corrections who graduated in the 121st entrance-level class of the ESCJA operated by Wor-Wic Community College include Demarly McCalla, Nicholas Blevins, Kayla Somers, Jose Borrero III, Madeline Pierre, and John Anchundia. WORCESTER GRADUATES: Graduates from the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center include Harold Roberts, Terry Daniels, Elisha Kees, and Sharell Fountain.


SOMERSET GRADUATE: Mitchell Briddell from the Somerset County Detention Center also graduated in this class.


ECI GRADUATES: Officers from the Eastern Correctional Institution who graduated include Gary Beckford, Douglas Bowden Jr., Tyneshia Briddell, Shoyndace Corbin, Adam Dunning, Mondy Gabriel-Elorge, Augustine Hughes, Jerome King, D'Angelo Knox, Raymond McLean, Shenacda Saint Louis, Dynasha Seawright, and Wideline St. Jules.


UPPER SHORE GRADUATES: Officers from the Upper Shore who graduated in the 121st class include Brandon Cephas from the Talbot County Department of Corrections; Jada Birchett, Evan Ruark, and Britina Bowen-Ward from the Dorchester County Department of Corrections; and Jaidyn Sims from the Caroline County Department of Corrections.


The ESCJA continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing capable and dedicated law enforcement professionals through its comprehensive training programs. This graduation celebrated not only the achievements of these officers but also the ongoing collaboration between counties to enhance safety and justice within the community.
