Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy Graduates 122nd Class

WICOMICO COUNTY, MD - Thirty-three jail and correctional officers from across Maryland's Eastern Shore have graduated from the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA).

This marks the 122nd entrance-level class to complete the program, which is operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury. The graduates represent agencies in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Caroline, Talbot, and Queen Anne's counties.

The graduation exercises took place in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus. The ceremony featured a commencement address delivered by Victoria Matthews, the security chief of the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI). Donald Rollyson Jr., associate director of the ESCJA, and Rob Dell'Erba, ESCJA coordinator, presided over the event.

Darius Williams of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center served as the class speaker.

The graduating class included officers from various regional departments. From the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, graduates were Morgan Tucker and Latoria Walston. The Worcester County Jail and Detention Center saw Ginger Drummond, Shane Kaufer, Jonathan Kent, and Darius Williams complete the program. Yolanda Morgan graduated representing the Somerset County Detention Center.

A large contingent from the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI) also graduated. This group included Daysia Briddell, Clyde Brooks, Trevira Brown, Deborah Bruce, Kendra Cottman, Tunisia Duncan, Jawon Gamble, Nosa Idemudia, Shakearah Kelly, Todd Krebs, Samuel Louijeune, Richard McVey, Brittni Miles, Biyren Motes, Javonte Nock, Patrece Peterson, Tashina Potter, Ryan Ramos Vega, Patricia Truse, and Elizabeth Youn.

Graduates from the Upper Shore included Cory Gomez and Lewis Stafford III of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections; Crystal Davis and Cody Faulkner of the Caroline County Department of Corrections; Twyla Hill of the Talbot County Department of Corrections; and Destinee Lamontagne of the Queen Anne's County Department of Corrections.
