EASTON FAMILY LOSES HOME AND DOG IN OVERNIGHT FIRE

Easton, MD - On December 1, 2023, at approximately 9:35 PM, firefighters were dispatched to Hammond Street in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, for a residential structure fire. 

It took approximately 1 hour for firefighters from the Easton Volunteer Fire Department to bring the fire under control. 

Fire investigators estimate that the family suffered a loss of $175,000 to the structure and another $50,000 in contents.  Tragically, as a result of the fire, the family also lost their pet dog who perished in the fire.
