Easton Man Arrested and Charged with Assault

Talbot County, MD - On March 8, 2026, an assault was investigated by officers from the Easton Police Department. The incident occurred in the 800 block of North Washington Street in Easton, Maryland.

Upon arrival, a victim was located and reported the assault. Visible signs of injury were observed on the victim by the responding officers.

Following the preliminary investigation, 43-year-old Jose Sanchez Ayala of Easton, Maryland was identified and located.

He was subsequently placed under arrest without incident. After the arrest, Sanchez Ayala was released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
