Easton Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Weapons Charge

Talbot County, MD - On the evening of February 18, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department were conducting a follow-up investigation at Giant Foods, located at 8223 Elliott Road.

During this time, a shirtless adult male was observed yelling and swinging his arms. The individual was later identified as 39-year-old David B. Carter of Easton, Maryland.

Contact was made with Carter by the officers. He refused to provide his name and fled the area. At approximately 9:39 p.m., another call was received by police regarding Carter. He was reportedly yelling and cursing at passing vehicles on Elliott Road.

Carter was located by officers at the intersection of Route 50 and Dover Road. He was subsequently placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. A butterfly knife was located on his person during a search incident to the arrest.

Carter was charged with disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was later released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
