Easton Man Arrested for DUI Following Multi-Vehicle Crash

Easton, MD - Officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at South Aurora Street and Maryland Avenue in Easton, Maryland, on September 28, 2025. The incident involved a driver who crashed into multiple parked vehicles in the area.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with the driver involved in the collision. The driver was identified as Angel J. Diaz Velasquez, 22, of Easton, Maryland.

Officers conducted an initial assessment to check for any injuries sustained during the crash. During their interaction with Diaz Velasquez, officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from his breath and person. This observation prompted officers to administer a Standardized Field Sobriety Test to determine the driver's level of impairment.

Diaz Velasquez was unable to successfully complete the field sobriety test. Based on the results and the officers' observations, he was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence.
