Easton Man Charged with Drug Offense Following K-9 Sniff on Traffic Stop

Talbot County, MD - On February 16, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the Easton Bypass and Port Street in Easton, Maryland.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 43-year-old Robert Jones of Easton, Maryland.

During the stop, a Talbot County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit was utilized to scan the vehicle for the presence of narcotics. A positive alert was indicated by the K-9, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Drug paraphernalia was located by officers during the search. Consequently, Jones was charged with one count of CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
