Easton Man Charged with DUI Following Motorcycle Crash

Easton, MD - On February 3, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department served Steven D. Mitchell, 61, of Easton, MD, with a criminal summons. He has been charged with Driving Under the Influence, along with Negligent and Reckless driving. 

These charges are in reference to a collision that occurred on November 8, 2025. Officers responded to the area of Easton Bypass and Oxford Road regarding a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

Investigation revealed that Mitchell was operating the motorcycle when it struck the vehicle.

Mitchell was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center due to injuries sustained in the crash. It was later determined that he was operating the motorcycle while under the influence, resulting in the current charges.
