Easton Police Arrest Man for Theft at Giant Foods

Easton, MD - On February 7, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a report of shoplifting.

The incident occurred in the area of Giant Foods, located at 8223 Elliott Road in Easton, Maryland. Police arrived at the scene to investigate the theft complaint.

Officers received a description of the suspect involved in the incident. While canvassing the area, police observed a male leaving Aldi Foods and walking toward U5 Foods. The individual matched the description of the suspect from the Giant Foods theft.

Police made contact with the subject, who was identified as 37-year-old William Fleetwood of Easton. The subsequent investigation determined that Fleetwood was responsible for the theft.

He was placed under arrest and charged with Theft $100 to under $1500. Officers located the stolen food items inside U5 Foods and returned the merchandise to Giant Foods.
