Easton Police Arrest Suspect Following Assault on Ocean Gateway
Talbot County, MD - On March 8, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to an assault in the 8400 block of Ocean Gateway in Easton, Maryland.
An investigation was initiated after a victim reported being assaulted by a male suspect. Visible signs of injury were observed on the victim by the responding officers.
A suspect was identified as 37-year-old William H. Fleetwood of Easton, Maryland and was subsequently located by law enforcement.
Fleetwood was placed under arrest without incident. Following the arrest, Fleetwood was released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
On March 8, 2026, Fleetwood was seen by the District Court Commissioner, who issued an unsecured $10,000 Personal Bond. Fleetwood was released following his hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
It should be noted that according to the Maryland State Judiciary Case Search, Fleetwood has 3 additional open cases, all involving theft incidents.
