Easton Police Respond to Theft at Local WaWa

EASTON, MD - On December 4, 2025, officers from the Easton Police Department were dispatched to the WaWa located at 8118 Ocean Gateway in Easton, Maryland. The response was in reference to a report of a theft in progress at the convenience store.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Austin Johnson of Edgewater, Maryland.

Police spoke with store employees to confirm the details of the incident. Following the investigation, Johnson was issued a criminal citation for theft of less than $100.00.

He was released from the scene shortly after.
