Easton Woman Arrested for Assault and Animal Cruelty

Easton, MD - On November 19, 2025, officers from the Easton Police Department arrested Jessica A. Bixby, a 37-year-old resident of Easton, MD. Bixby was served with an arrest warrant charging her with Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Theft of $100 to under $1,500, and Animal Cruelty.

The charges stem from an incident reported on November 6, 2025. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Dover Road in Easton regarding a past burglary. Upon arrival, police spoke with an individual at the residence who reported witnessing an altercation between Bixby and another person.

The alleged victim later filed a statement of charges, detailing that an argument with Bixby had escalated into a physical assault. The victim stated that Bixby choked, slapped, and scratched him during the confrontation.

The report also alleges that Bixby grabbed the victim's dog by its collar, yanking it upward before throwing it to the ground, which caused the animal obvious pain.

Furthermore, the victim stated that Bixby had taken $1,400 from him.

Following her arrest, Bixby was transported and released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center. Bixby was given a $20,000 unsecured personal bond and released.
