Easton Woman Charged in Connection with Liquor Store Theft
Easton, MD - On January 10, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a theft report at U5. The business is located at 8117 Ocean Gateway in Easton, Maryland.
Store employees informed officers that a juvenile had entered the premises and placed a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka into a bag.
The suspect was observed running out of the store shortly after concealing the item. A U5 employee followed the subject outside.
The juvenile reportedly entered the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene while the employee attempted to intervene.
The Easton Police Department conducted an investigation with assistance from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office. Authorities subsequently identified the driver of the vehicle as 18-year-old Lucy A. Draper of Easton.
Draper was charged with one count of Theft: Less than $100 for her involvement in the incident. She was issued a criminal citation and released upon signing. The juvenile involved in the theft was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
