Easton Woman Charged with Second-Degree Assault Following September Incident

Easton, MD - The Easton Police Department has charged an 18-year-old local woman with second-degree Assault in connection with an incident that occurred in September 2025.
Marijah A. Banos of Easton, Maryland was served with a criminal summons on October 2, 2025, at the Easton Police Department. The charges stem from an alleged assault that took place on September 21, 2025.
Police officers were initially dispatched to the Will Street area in Easton on September 21 for an unrelated escort matter. While officers were on scene, an individual approached them and reported that Banos had assaulted them earlier that morning.
Following standard procedure, officers advised both parties involved that they could file charges at the Talbot County District Court Commissioners' Office. The case proceeded through the court system, resulting in the criminal summons being issued approximately two weeks later.
The investigation into the incident has been completed. Banos was formally served with the assault charges at the police department on October 2, 2025.
