Ellendale Man Arrested for Felony Drug Charges Following Investigation

Ellendale, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested 53-year-old Andre Mullen of Ellendale, Delaware, on felony drug charges. The arrest was made after a search warrant was executed on August 11, 2025, at a residence on the 13000 block of South Old State Road in Ellendale.


The investigation was conducted by the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team.


Authorities obtained a search warrant following inquiries into suspected illegal narcotics distribution from the residence. During the operation, Mullen and two other individuals were detained.


Items Discovered During the Search


A search of the residence led to the discovery of several items, including:


  • Approximately 44.92 grams of crack cocaine
  • Approximately 15.7 grams of powder cocaine
  • Approximately 44 buprenorphine and sublingual films
  • Digital scales
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • $793.00 in suspected drug proceeds


Charges and Legal Proceedings


Mullen was taken into custody and transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with the following offenses:


  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 3 (Felony)  
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 3 (Felony)  
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)  
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)  
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 1 (Felony)  
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)  
  • Unlawful to Knowingly Operate or Attempt to Operate a Clandestine Laboratory (Felony)  
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia  


Mullen was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and subsequently committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $178,200 cash bond.
