Essex Man Arrested for Child Pornography and Sexual Solicitation of a Minor

Queen Anne's County, MD - An Essex man has been arrested and charged with child pornography and sexual solicitation of a minor following an investigation by the Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff.

On August 30, 2025, deputies received a report from a county resident that an unknown adult male had contacted their child, who is under 12 years old, for sexual purposes.

After a review of the evidence, an arrest warrant was issued on September 19, 2025 for Overton. The charges include Sexual Solicitation of a Minor, two counts of Child Pornography, and two counts of Obscene Telephone Misuse.

On September 24, Overton was taken into custody in Baltimore, MD. He was later held without bond.

Our investigators worked tirelessly to identify this suspect and bring him into custody. We will continue to dedicate every available resource to safeguarding our most vulnerable residents and ensuring that those who prey on children are held fully accountable."
