FAMILIAR FACE APPREHENDED FOR SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS

Laurel, DE - Roy G Kolaco (32) of Dover, DE, was arrested again today after a Laurel Police Department patrol officer observed him walking in the Little Creek Apartments Complex.

On 10/16/23, Kolaco was involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit with the Laurel Police Department which resulted in his arrest. The case information was posted to this page, including his release on his own recognizance. 

On 10/26/23, Laurel Police units responded to a call for service at an undisclosed address in reference to a harassment complaint. During the incident, it is alleged that Kolaco threatened to kill the victim, and damage their property. This resulted in an additional warrant being issued for Terroristic Threatening (Class A Misdemeanor).

On 10/27/23, Laurel PD was made aware that Kolaco failed to appear at his preliminary hearing for the above referenced vehicle pursuit case. This resulted in a $10,000 secured bail capias being issued for his arrest.

On 10/30/23, a Laurel Police Department officer on patrol was conducting a patrol check of the Little Creek Apartments. The officer observed Kolaco on foot, and took him into custody for his multiple active warrants. During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of .336g (47 bags) of heroin. This resulted in an additional charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Class B Misdemeanor).

He was transported to the Laurel Police Department for processing, and presented to the Justice of the Peace Court 2 for arraignment.

Kolaco was subsequently released on his own recognizance for the Terroristic Threatening and Possession of Controlled Substance charges. He was committed to the custody of Sussex Correctional Institution for his Superior Court capias.
