FATAL CRASH IN MILTON IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY DELAWARE STATE POLICE

Milton, DE - A two-vehicle crash in Milton, Delaware is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Police following the tragic death of a 74-year-old woman from Ellendale, Delaware. The incident occurred on June 6, 2025, at approximately 4:32 p.m. and involved a Ford Bronco and a Sussex County EMS Chevrolet Suburban.


Preliminary findings indicate that the Ford Bronco was traveling northbound on Mulberry Street and disregarded a stop sign while approaching Beach Highway.


At the same time, the EMS Suburban, with its emergency equipment activated, was heading westbound on Beach Highway. The collision occurred when the EMS vehicle struck the passenger side of the Bronco, causing it to rotate and collide with a tree.


Despite being transported to a nearby hospital, the driver of the Bronco succumbed to her injuries. Her identity has not been disclosed pending notification of her family. The driver of the EMS Suburban, a 38-year-old paramedic, received medical attention for injuries that were not life-threatening.


The road was closed for about three hours as authorities conducted a thorough investigation and cleared the scene. Detectives from the Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit are leading the ongoing investigation.
