Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Under Investigation in Milford

Milford, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred Tuesday evening in Milford.

The incident happened on October 15, 2025, at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Bay Road north of Jenkins Pond Road. A Ford Mustang was traveling northbound when it left the east side of the roadway for unknown reasons.

The vehicle struck a tree and caught fire with the driver trapped inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity.

Bay Road remained closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene and cleared the roadway.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit is handling the ongoing investigation. Officials are seeking witnesses or anyone with relevant information about the crash.
