Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Under Investigation in Seaford
Seaford, DE - Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle accident that occurred in Seaford on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place on October 8, 2025, at approximately 2:54 p.m. A Buick Enclave was traveling northbound on Seaford Road as it approached O'neal's Road. The vehicle departed the east side of the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver was identified as a 63-year-old man from Seaford, Delaware. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are withholding his identity pending notification of family members. The crash resulted in an extended closure of Seaford Road while investigators processed the scene and cleared the roadway. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation. Officials are requesting assistance from the public in their investigation.
