Federalsburg Man Arrested for Domestic Assault

Caroline County, MD - On September 23, 2025, deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office arrested a man in connection with a reported domestic assault in Federalsburg, Maryland.


Deputies responded to an address in Federalsburg after receiving a report of the incident. Upon their arrival, they made contact with the victim and observed signs of a physical assault.


Shortly after, deputies located the suspect, later identified as Nathan Thomas, as he was leaving a residence and initiated contact.


Following their investigation, Thomas was placed under arrest for second-degree assault, related to domestic violence.


Thomas was transported to the Caroline County Sheriff's Office and later appeared before a District Court Commissioner. The commissioner ordered the defendant to be held at the Caroline County Detention Center after determining he was ineligible for bond.


Two days later, Thomas appeared in front of Judge James Charles McKinney for a bond review, at which time he was released on his own personal recognizance.
