Fire Damages Salisbury Home, Two Displaced
Wicomico County, MD - On February 22, 2026, at approximately 10:30 PM, firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 29000 Naylor Mill Road in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. The incident involved a one-story, wood frame, single-family dwelling. The Salisbury Fire Department served as the primary responding agency. A total of 25 firefighters worked to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes of arrival. The blaze was discovered by an occupant of the residence. Two individuals were displaced from the home. The fire caused an estimated $40,000 in structural damage and $10,000 in contents damage. Investigators determined the area of origin to be the exterior of the structure. The preliminary cause has been classified as accidental, resulting from a failure of an electrical branch circuit near the distribution panel.
