Fire Departments from Three Counties Respond to Commercial Building Fire

Berlin, MD - On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 1:21 p.m., the Berlin Fire Company responded to a commercial building fire at Bayside Jet Drive, located in the 10500 block of Worcester Highway in Berlin, Maryland.

Upon arrival, fire units discovered a one-story commercial building with heavy fire showing through the roof and extending from the front of the structure. The severity of the fire prompted the incident command to request a second alarm and a tanker task force for additional personnel and water supply.

Fire units from northern Worcester County, lower Sussex County, and eastern Wicomico County assisted with fire suppression operations. Crews worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further. Despite their efforts, the building and its contents were declared a total loss.

No injuries to civilians or emergency personnel were reported. Fire units remained on the scene for approximately eight hours to conduct overhaul, secure the property, and support the investigation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
