FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE EARLY MORNING DUMPSTER FIRE IN TALBOT COUNTY

On the early morning of May 21, 2025, a fire occurred at Teddy Bear Fresh Produce in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. This location was the site of an unexpected dumpster fire involving three commercial dumpsters. The dumpsters are owned by Blue Hen Disposal, the three 8-yard commercial dumpsters suffered an estimated $3,000 in damages.

A single alarm brought eight dedicated Easton Volunteer Fire Department firefighters to the scene, and they were able to control the fire in just 50 minutes.

An employee of the establishment discovered the fire and promptly contacted 911. The interior of one of the dumpsters has been identified as the area of origin for the blaze.

Currently, the cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-819-3500.
