FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE IN SNOW HILL

Snow Hill, MD - On Saturday, November 18, 2023, at around 1:59 PM, firefighters from the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 3600 block of Figgs Landing Road in Snow Hill, Maryland for a reported structure fire. 

 

When they arrived on the scene, they observed smoke and fire conditions all throughout a one-story single-family home. 

 

Firefighters worked to quickly bring the fire under control. Crews then remained on scene for approximately 3 hours performing overhaul operations.

 

Deputies from the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office responded to the scene and conducted a thorough fire scene examination. As a result, the home is considered a complete loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

 

Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company was assisted by Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company (Station 300), Stockton Volunteer Fire Company (Station 200), Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company (Station 100), Newark Volunteer Fire Company (Station 500), and Greenbackville Volunteer Fire Dept.

 

There were no injuries to be reported.
