Ocean City, MD - Members of the Fraternal Order of Police - Ocean City Lodge 10 voted to officially endorse Jeff Heiser for Town of Ocean City Council.

Heiser is a former Ocean City Police Officer. He understands the requirements to maintain officer safety. He also knows what resources the Town of Ocean City must provide to ensure a secure environment for law enforcement.

In a recent press release, FOP Lodge 10 President Justin Hoban stated, "We know that as a council member he will thoughtfully consider the needs of law enforcement and first responders and set us up for continued success in maintaining public safety and enforcing the law".

FOP Lodge 10 State Trustee Matthew Foreman also provided a statement regarding the endorsement. Foreman stated, "Heiser served alongside us in nearly every rank and every division of the Ocean City Police Department and he earned our respect because he's a team player who makes good judgement calls in difficult situations. Now that he is seeking election to continue his service in a different role, we trust him to keep making decisions that are in the best interest of everyone who lives in Ocean City,"

On March 2, 2026, Heiser announced his candidacy. He is running to fill the council seat left vacant by former Council Member Tony DeLuca. Currently, the only other candidate for the seat is Peter Buas, a former Council Member and former Mayoral Candidate.

The special election will take place in the Town of Ocean City on April 21, 2026.
