Former Giant Foods Employee Charged with Theft

EASTON, MD - A Ridgely woman faces criminal charges after allegedly stealing merchandise from her former workplace in Easton, Maryland. Elizabeth Brickley, 47, was issued a citation for theft of property valued at less than $100 following an investigation at Giant Foods on Elliott Road.


The incident occurred on August 28, 2025, when officers responded to Giant Foods at 8223 Elliott Road in Easton, Maryland. Store personnel reported that a female individual had obtained merchandise and returned it at the customer service counter for cash.


Investigation revealed that the suspect was identified as Brickley, a former employee of the establishment, though she was not present in the store during the initial response.


Officers returned to the location later that day when Brickley came back to the store. She had changed into different colored clothing from her earlier visit. Police issued the criminal citation at that time.
