Free Christmas Tree Recycling in Worcester County
WORCESTER COUNTY, MD - Worcester County residents will have the opportunity to recycle their Christmas trees at no cost this holiday season.
The Solid Waste Division of Worcester County Public Works will be hosting its annual Christmas tree collection from December 26, 2025, through January 31, 2026.
During this period, residents can drop off their trees at several locations, including the Central Landfill in Newark, and the Homeowners Convenience Centers in Berlin, Pocomoke, and Snow Hill.
This service is provided free of charge for residents. However, businesses and organizations that sold trees will not be permitted to use the convenience centers for disposal. They may take their trees to the Central Landfill, where standard tipping fees will apply.
All collected trees will be ground into mulch for use at the Central Landfill.
For more information about the program, contact Recycling Manager Bob Keenan at 410-632-3177, ext. 2405.
