Free Salisbury Bulk Trash Pick-Up Scheduled for March 16-20, 2026

Wicomico County, MD - The City of Salisbury has announced a free bulk pick-up service for eligible residents. This collection is scheduled for the week of Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, 2026.

Residents are required to schedule their pick-up in advance. The final deadline to participate is Friday, March 13 at 12:00 p.m. noon.

To request a pick-up, residents must contact the Department of Field Operations at 410-548-3177. Callers should specify that the request is for the free bulk pick-up during the week of March 16. The resident's regular trash collection day must also be confirmed during the call.

Requests received after the deadline may not be accommodated.

If the call is directed to voicemail, a detailed message must be left. This message should include the caller's name, phone number, and address. The scheduled trash day and a specific list of items to be collected must also be provided.

Several guidelines are enforced for this collection event. A strict limit of three bulk items per residence is permitted. Items containing fabric, such as mattresses and box springs, must be wrapped in plastic and sealed securely with tape.

Appliances and construction materials, including wood, sinks, toilets, and swing sets, are excluded from this service. Furthermore, bulk items must not be placed inside standard trash or recycling bins.

This free pick-up service is not available for multi-unit complexes, such as apartments or condominiums. Disposal of bulk items at these locations remains the responsibility of the complex's managing authority.

For eligible properties, approved items must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Placing items out the night before is highly recommended.
