Georgetown Police Arrest Teen in Vehicle Burglary Spree

Georgetown, DE - Georgetown Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect early Saturday morning in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries throughout the town.
The arrest occurred on August 23, 2025, during the early morning hours. Officers observed the juvenile fleeing on foot from the scene. A brief foot pursuit followed before the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Police determined the teen worked with an unidentified accomplice to burglarize or damage 22 vehicles across two town wards. The incidents primarily involved breaking vehicle windows to access and steal property from inside.
The 17-year-old faces multiple charges including:
- Six counts of Burglary Third Degree
- Seven counts of Theft Under $1,500
- 19 counts of Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
- Resisting Arrest
The second suspect remains unidentified and at large.
