Handgun Arrest Following Traffic Stop in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - On March 26, 2026, a motor vehicle was stopped by deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office. The traffic stop occurred on Ocean Gateway near Landing Neck Road and was initiated due to a moving violation.

Following the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The search was conducted with the assistance of a Talbot County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit.

During the investigation, a loaded handgun was located under the front passenger seat.
The passenger, identified as 18-year-old Deshour Nazeer Pritchett of Salisbury, Maryland, was placed under arrest for a handgun violation.

Pritchett was subsequently transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing.

Following processing, Pritchett was scheduled for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. The suspect was held pending further action by the court.
