HARBESON MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AT LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT

Millsboro, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested Eugene Marple, a 52-year-old resident of Harbeson, Delaware, on charges of burglary and related offenses. The incident occurred at the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company on June 4, 2025.
Delaware State Police troopers began investigating a break-in at the fire station, located on Oak Orchard Road in Millsboro, Delaware. It was discovered that, during the night of June 4th, an unidentified white male suspect gained access to the premises through an unsecured door. Inside, the suspect damaged an office door, stole property, and subsequently fled the scene.
Using investigative techniques, law enforcement was positively able to identify Eugene Marple as the individual involved in the burglary. Marple was taken into custody without incident on June 5, 2025.
Marple is now facing several charges, including Burglary in the 3rd Degree (a felony), Theft under $1,500, and Criminal Mischief under $1,000. Following his arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 2, Marple was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
