Wicomico County, MD - On June 21, 2023, the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, sentenced Harold Cuff, age 49, of Hebron, Maryland, to an aggregate sentence of Sixty (60) years of incarceration which includes a twenty-five (25) year minimum mandatory sentence.Cuff pleaded guilty on February 7, 2023, to Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Rape in the Second Degree, and two counts of Sexual Offense in the Third Degree. At the time of the new conviction Cuff had been on supervised probation for previous convictions for First Degree Burglary and First Degree Assault.The aggregate sentence is the total consecutive sentence for the new conviction and violations of probation. Cuff was found to be a third-time subsequent offender for crimes of violence, and was also determined to be a Sexually Violent Predator.From August of 2018 through July of 2022, Cuff sexually abused three (3) minor children within his household. The victims ranged in ages from 3 years to 15 years.Wicomico County State's Attorney (SA) Jamie L. Dykes said, "The sexual abuse of one, let alone three children, is a complete and utter tragedy.
